Thirty-nine days of the Omer 5777

Today is thirty-nine days, which is five weeks and fourdays, of the Omer. Netzach of Yesod, Eternity of Bonding / Foundation.

I aspireto speak from love at all times, and especially with my children. I fail,sometimes on an hourly basis.

What doesit take to have an Eternal Foundation? How can one obtain a foothold in theeternal?

First, by laying the foundation in the material world: getenough sleep, take care of yourself when sick, and most importantly: take iteasy on yourself. My allergies have overwhelmed me. I know it is not my faultand it is definitely not my kids' fault that every drop of pollination sends mysinuses into a tailspin.

ThisShabbat, I will meditate on the Eternal Foundation I aspire to align myselfwith. I will pray that I am released from the grip of the Yetzer HaRa,inclination toward evil, when dealing with an obstinate child or a half-bakedscheme.

And I willtrust in Supernal Holiness as I inch closer to completing this semester.
